The label design was inspired by Karl & Kevin’s favorite artist when they were kids: MC Escher. Karl and Kevin were able to fully realize the inspiration from Escher and meld that with the respective styles of each brewery. A nose of tropical fruit and bubble gum take the lead with woody resin undertones. Palate is juicy with flavors of creamy pineapple and freshly baked bread, wrapping it up with a soft-as-a-puppy bitterness.

low white head over an unfiltered peach body. Citrus rind, caramel malt and spice on the nose. Taste profile leads with citrus hops backstopped by a rich, sweet caramel malt. Lemon, tangerine and orange rind work with the sweet malt, pepper and some spice. Quite slick and smooth. Nice.

Bottle. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is berries, some dankness, citrus, oats and mild toffeeish tones. Flavour is citrus, zest, oats, some gooseberries and some slight herbal tones.

(Bottle) Cloudy golden amber colour with brief, off-white head. Hoppy nose with notes of grapefruit, mandarin, orange peel, peaches, honey, pine needles and resin. Hoppy taste with grapefruit, orange marmalade, mandarin, peaches, honey, pine needles and a generous citric, resiny bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite sweet. Fairly one-dimensional, but really tasty with generous hop doses. Very nice.

Bottle from Heaton Hops, Heaton Chapel. Hazy first, ended cloudy golden-amber with a small head. An initial alcoholic blast gives way to a citric fruitiness with plenty of body. Its strength remains evident in its nose but a citric flavoured tropical fruitiness comes to the fore in taste. There's limited bitterness about this but is flavoursome enough.

Descent fruity nose, Taste Starts with tropical fruits and ends in bitter grapefruit-peel. Well balanced hops. Thumbs up!

Gehaald bij Mitra Oirschot wat me verraste. Smaak is wel erg voorzichtig. Niet plakkerig, niet bitter, geen hars of dennenboom te bekennen. Derhalve niet echt een double ipa. Weinig koolzuur ook. In z’n stijl tegenvallend, verder prima.

Caña en mikkeller Madrid 08..12..2019. (r182).
