DESCRIPTION

Raver was originally a collab with Garden Brewery from Croatia.

It’s an IPA, generously hopped with a mix of Citra and Mosaic, T90 and Cryo pellets.

It’s big and bold, like Garden’s music festivals.

Goes well with hitting those high notes.

Featuring John and Nick, ex. Gipsy / Garden honchos, current Drop Project and One Drop chiefs.

Can. Fairly cloudy golden amber with a dense off white head that fades to a bit over a cm but never disappears. Aroma of oranges, peach, vague tropical fruit bound up in a creamy way. Light but still slightly chalky texture with carbonation on the low side of medium. Lots of fruit but it struggles for definition. Moderately bitter at an end that's really just a continuation. After a while more complex Citra notes emerge - more citrus flavours: floral, pithy, herbal and sour as well as bitter. Good but a little clumsy.

Very good lightly yellowish head, rather dense, making textbook lace, over not very carbonated copperish orange beer. Instantaneous waft of fresh hops, citrus, mango, passion fruit, green herbs upon opening. Getting a bit cheesy later, but also adding nectarine, peach. Ultra dry, very chalky, almost lupulin dust, hints at peachskin, bitter(ish) almonds. Tart from the hopoils, but not very-well bodied, low carbonation. Not totally convincing - too unidimensional, verging dangerously on the chasm of dullness. Nothing wrong, but the not very outspoken carbonation intensifies the dullish impression.

Can shared with JMD on board Fridtjofen 23.03.20. Slightly hazy golden straw colour. Foamy off-white head and lacing. Excellent aroma and lingering taste of mango, various citrus fruits, pine malt and fresh pine shoots. Good bitterness. Full mouthfeel.

Slightly dank hop profile, but very tasty nevertheless.

Can from Bottle Baron. Hazy golden body with a white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange and grapefruit. Flavour of bay leaf, lemon drops and marmalade. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Gipsy Hill are an excellent, underrated brewery.
