"Nelson Sauvin - the pride of New Zealand! I've always had a strong relationship with Nelson Sauvin; I love drinking it and brewing with it, but I've never made a Single Hop IPA using Nelson. Now is the time! It's bursting with aromas of fresh grapes, white wine, white pepper, grapefruit, a bit of tropical notes and that beautiful New Zealand earthy funk!"

Can 44cl. @home poured into a tulip glass. Tropical fruit nose. Cloudy pale golden colour, small stable, frothy white head, good lacing. Aroma dank, pale malt, orange, stone fruit, pomelo, light pineapple, perfumy and piney hops, also retronasal. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, stone fruit, pineapple, pomelo, resinous notes, peppery notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, smooth juicy sweetbitter aftertaste, rather thick feel, good.

Murky orange amber with a thin off white cap that dribbles away to the edge.
Nose is bitter orange, pine nip, guava, light stone fruit, grass.
Taste comprises stone fruit, gooseberries, grass, lychee, mandarin.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close spiked with grassy come lightly dankened hop bitterness.
Okay IPA but the Nelson seems a little stale and muted.

28/12/2024. Can from Beerdome online store. Pours cloudy pale yellow gold with a frothy white head. Aroma is juicy, citrus, tropical fruits, grapefruit, sweet white grape, slight herbal peppery notes. Quite sweet with moderate bitterness. Medium body, smooth, average carbonation. A little too sweet but quite drinkable.

Sample on tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Very pale straw colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma and flavour of Nelson Sauvin hops, with notes of crushed gooseberries and white grapes, also citrus and tropical fruits like lychee, spicy hints. Light bodied for its strength. More of a summer beer than a winter beer.

Mi2 på Cardinal 9.12. ble en veritabel julekalender, og etter Luis' presentasjon av canadiske øl er seremonimester Melberg klar med kveldens fatøl: lys skittengul med ok skum. Tropiske frukter, gule druer, litt vanilje og stikkelsbær. Lav bitterhet.

0,1l on tap @ Etko. Pours hazy yellow with a low head. Aroma is juicy malts. Flavour is juicy malts with some hops. The Nelson hop flavour does not work for me at all here for whatever reason.

44 cl can @ home. Batch #039: canned 09/2024, BBE 04/2025 Atoma has tropical fruits, fruit candy, pineapple juice and mild baking stuff. Flavour has sweetish pineapple juice, some mellow grapefruity hops. Sweetish and very juicy. Easy to drink.

440ml can from brewery. Poured deep yellow in color. Lovely notes of white grapes, fresh juicy hops. Soft, quaffable. Awesome.

0,44l can from the brewery. Canned 09/2024, bbe 04/2025. Hazy light yellow beer with quite small head. Aroma has Smooth, fruity, dank and hoppy with some floral notes. Quite balanced.

Smooth, juicy tropical fruity and citrusy with some grapefruit, vinous grapes and floral notes, hints of citrus and juicy sweetness in the finish. Pretty crushable and balanced
