Pours a real dark brown colour with ruby highlights, a mocha-coloured frothy head, good stay, some creaminess and leaving sticky lacing. Roasted malt aromas as base with molasses, prunes and white wine notes. The mouthfeel is smooth, lightly oily and some decent building dryness comes out of it. Flavours of malted barley with some grassiness from the hops. An interesting Black IPA with the Nelson Sauvin giving a tad white grapes angle to it.

Les houblons frappent le nez dès le départ avec leurs notes d’agrumes et de conifères. La base maltée torréfiée est également décelable. Le liquide est noir et opaque avec une mousse semi crémeuse qui persiste assez longtemps. Des accents de torréfaction sont présents à l’entrée de bouche tout en s’accompagnant de houblons aux allures de conifères intenses. L’amertume est grande et amplifiée par la combinaison résine et torréfaction amenant une certaine astringence. Bien amère cette IPA noire. O:7.36 V:4.71 G:6.71 C:3.64 G:13.68 T:36.1
