Our original medium dry cider celebrating the Bottle Kicking tradition of Hallaton 'Scrambler' brings together the best of West Country apples with the great taste of apples grown locally in Leicestershire.

We have kept the juice content high, to give a final ABV of 7.0% in our draught cider.

BIAB at York Beer & Cider Festival 2019. 7.0%. Clear golden colour, bubbly white foam head and aroma of mellow fruity apple. Taste is sweetish, tart, mellow apple, with some green apple and citric drying acidity. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium-dry finish. Quite drinkable.

ABV: 7.0%. Clear light to medium yellow colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, tart apples, yellow apples, green apples, horse blanket. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a long duration, apple, tart, yellow and red apples, medium dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. [20181018]

18/10/2018. Bag in box at the Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival 2018, Nottingham. Pours golden with minimal head. Aroma of semi-sweet apples. Medium plus sweetness. Slight dry finish.

Cask @ Nottingham Beer Festival. No head. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are green apples, fruits, little sweet and little sour. Nice sour finish.

Cask @ Nottingham Beer and Cider Festival. Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is sweet apples and red apples. Flavor is quite sweet. Sweet finish. 181018

Handpull at the Old Horse, Leicester. Light golden and clear with a foamy bit of white head. Vinous scent with orchard fruits and a touch of champagne vinegar. Tastes far too sweet - that wonderful cider tang is missing - and there's a saccharine note to the finish. Not keen on this but it'll do.

Draught @ The Pheasant, Wellington, Shropshire. Pours pale, light green. Aroma is sour apple laces. Taste is fresh apple skins and a sweet green apple character with a light fuzzy sourness. Decent.
