330ml can. Almost black appearance with a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, dark chocolate, subtle spices. Taste is coffee, roasted malt, sweet chocolate, subtle cinnamon and nutmeg, bittersweet. Medium body, smooth, soft carbonation. An excellent porter like the base beer, but the spices are far too subtle to really lift this any higher.

Can. Beer Central, Sheffield. It’s nearly May, but in Sheffield it’s a bit like mid-winter. Clear, dark cola brown. Ring of tan. Nose has cinnamon and nutmeg. Some dried vine fruit. Taste has some sweetness. Some earthy dryness. Smooth enough mouthfeel, albeit a little thin. Spicy nutmeg finish.
