Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of black chocolate notes with some vanilla and coconut, light peanut notes with some nice bourbon notes. Taste is also a mix of black chocolate notes with some vanilla and coconut notes with some light peanut and bourbon notes with light residual sugar notes. Body is above average with creamy texture and good carbonation with some alcohol notes discernible. Quite the feat that this mix of flavors actually works well together.

Bottle that pours a real dark brown colour, almost black with hardly any highlights. The warm mocha-coloured head is fizzy, lasting just a while and only leaving a little film on the glass. The peanuts are present in the nose at first, but the Bourbon alcohol shows up to take over, with the chocolate notes and roasted barley base. The mouthfeel is silky, smooth, not too heavy with not their usual dryness in the end. Yet, not too syrupy - just quite nice. A nice warming touch with mild bitterness lingers. The flavours are well-blended with nothing sticking out too much. Cacao, mild nuttiness, soft coconut-vanilla hints and a touch of Bourbon. Quite a pleasant, smooth dessert Imperial Stout that is not overly sweet, nor too rich. Goes down very well on the wintery night.
