A hazed brown barleywine with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with vinous notes, dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with vinous notes, dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice.

375 ml thanks to ClarkVV. Aroma is mostly Elijah Craig with mild earthy malts. Weird thing is in the flavor is a lot of toffee, prune, raisins. Yet, bourbon is hardly here. Almost resembles a regular non- barreled barleywine.

375 mL bottle drunk 5/27/23. Clear (or maybe not), dark mahogany, dark burgundy. No head. Nose is certainly full of Elijah Craig. Caramel malt, vanilla, heavy bourbon spice and fruitiness. Soft, malty, strong, strong bourbon flavor of fruit, pepper, alcohol and vanilla. Soft, well-attenuated texture. Good richness, but very monotone of caramel, toffee, raisin. Pretty standard barleywine. I don't know, kinda not elevated, just sort of malty-sugary, though certainly not cloying. Lol how did they get so much EC aroma and virtually no flavor or texture of barrel aging.
