Torrentiel

Originally rated September 4, 2023 at one of the brewpubs. A real dark brown colour with hardly any highlights, no head, nor lacing. Roasted malt nose with soy sauce notes, hints of coconut, cacao and other nuts. Roasted barley taste with some bite, sharp bitterness with a touch of cacao, licorice lingering and building dryness in the finish. Quite a nice Imperial Stout with the Heaven Hill barrel well-hidden, but adding a tad vanilla, blending with the cacao, nuttiness and light warming.

A deep dark stout with no head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, light vanilla, butterscotch, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, light bourbon barrel notes, woody notes, very nice and rich. On tap at Hautes Plaines location.

Brown bottle, 750 ml, from, with and at Jean-Frédéric Pleau (merci!), savoured on 16 February 2023; eye: black, opaque, no effervescence, tiny ring of brown head, slight lacing; nose: whisky, alcohol, malt, chocolate, vanilla, alcohol; mouth: whisky, alcohol, malt, chocolate, vanilla, alcohol, alcohol warmth, finale in whisky with presence of chocolate liquor, full-bodied, average carbonation, mildly sweet, alcoholic texture; in summary: very good FRANÇAIS
Bouteille brune, 750 ml, de, avec et chez Jean-Frédéric Pleau (merci!), savourée le 16 février 2023; œil : noire, opaque, pas d'effervescence, minuscule anneau de mousse brune, très légère dentelle; nez : whisky, alcool, malt, chocolat, vanille, alcool; bouche : whisky, alcool, malt, chocolat, vanille, alcool, chaleur d'alcool, finale en whisky avec présence de liqueur de chocolat, corsée, carbonatation moyenne, moyennement sucrée, texture alcoolique; en résumé : très bon

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with light retention and some light lacing. Aroma of strong bourbon and woody notes with some vanilla and some sweet fudge notes.Taste is also a mix of strong woody notes with some bourbon and vanilla and some sweet fudge notes. Body is pretty full with an oily texture and good carbonation with some light warming alcohol notes. Greta BA pastry stout.
