440ml can @ final beer tasting, Chez Sophie, Aug 24. Pours pitch black, deep tan head. Mostly chocolate aroma, light turkish delight impressions. Turkish delight is thankfully not too prominent to taste, there's an integrated element alongside slick chocolate, dark malt.. distant mint.. like it overall. No elements too imposing.

Monday 5th August 2024, the last Minutemat led Shrewsbury Beer Gathering, five guys, loads of beer and bollox. Cheers Mike for the Out Of Date 440ml can of this. Deep black body, tanned topping. Slight minty flavour within it's fairly sweet chocolate taste, didn't really get any Turkish Delight though. But I did find it interesting and boozy!
Much better than expected, Turkish delight on the nose, lovely dark mint finish

Black beer, thin brown head which soon fizzles out. Cool, minty smell. Taste is interesting. Lots of creamy chocolate and malt with the mint and lactose balancing each other quite well. Rich smooth finish with a little mint lingering.

Keg at CBC CG - London. Pours clear brown with a creamy, tan head. The aroma holds cocoa, toasted herbs, light mint. Medium sweet flavour with notes of oily chocolate, lots of herbal qualities. Medium to full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more chocolate and burnt herbs. Eh, OK, just a bit odd.

Keg at the Neon Raptor Taproom. Very dark brown with a beige/khaki heD. Smell of fudge along with toothpaste mint. Taste fresh and sweet with the mint taking pride of place against the malty chocolate notes. Astringent toothpaste aftertaste. This beer has a few problems but they aren't yours tonight. So enjoy.
