Can at home picked up from Sainsbury’s. A crystal clear mid golden coloured pour with a lasting frothy white head. Aroma is woody apple pips, soggy, whiff of alcohol, mealy apple. Flavour is composed of semi sweet tangy apple, plastic, woody notes. Palate is medium sweet, moderate tang, highish carbonation. Passable.

330ml can from Morrisons. Clear golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma and taste of fresh apples, bittersweet but more on the sweeter side, light tannin. Medium body and fizzy carbonation, dryish finish. Decent.

330ml can from Tesco Extra, Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Clear golden colour with a white foam head that diminishes. Light sweet apple aroma. Flavour of apple, sweetish, with some caramel and fruity notes. Light bodied, medium carbonation, dry finish. OK.

Can from Tesco and drunk on a train. It’s an ok cider down the middle carbonated medium sweet cider. Apple juice with a hint towards proper cider apples. A little sweet but fine. Quite drinkable.

330ml can from Tesco. Pours clear gold, little head to speak of. Aroma is moderately sweet, distinct apple fruit. Taste is medium cider territory, predictably clean, reliably accessible with a fruity sweetness and a light tannin whisper. As far as commercial ciders go, this isn’t bad at all.
