Bottle from Scrattings. Hazy gold, some brief bubbles on top. Quite a subtle aroma, getting some fruity apple core, wood, sweetness. Taste again is quite subtle at first, you really have to chew it around the palate to get the full flavour. The carbonation is too low to help you along on this. Once you do though there is a really nice fruitiness to this, quite pithy and juicy with wood, musk and mild bitterness giving a nice contrast. Medium bodied, slick, light sparkling carbonation. Not perfect but enjoyable overall.

Cask at GBBF. It pours lightly hazy gold no head. The aroma is musty, dirty, musty, barnyard, vanilla, oak, barnyard, manure and filth. The taste is dry, tart, tannin, apple skin, earthy, barnyard, manure, white grape, sherbet, tannin and vinous aspects with a drying finish. Too much manure and tannin for my liking.

Polycask at The Orchard Inn, Bristol, 27.12.11 Pours dark gold with a few stray white bubbles. There is a little sweaty foot on the nose, touch cheesy but in the mouth not so much, good sharpness, nice appley flavours, very pleasant stuff. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5
