The middle palate is clean with the Maris Otter malt character coming through with orange fruits making a re-appearance, merging with the final refreshing bite of bitterness.

Cask at Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford. Pours golden yellow with minimal scummy almost white head and good lacing. The aroma has floral hops, caramel and hints of bread rolls. In the mouth it is sweet with malts to the fore. Favour also has oranges and hints of honey and melon with a little spiciness coming through later. It’s reasonable.

Cask pint at the Prospect of Whitby. Finally made it ot this pub and chose this light 3.7% ale. Not really much to write home about in the aroma or taste. Slight grass and fruity summer like ale. Golden colour. Quite grasping on the palate. Meh.

Cask @ Salisbury, Covent Garden. Pours clear golden amber, small white head. Aroma bears some light floral citrus. Palate is thin, a touch watery, gentle pale malt sweetness, distant citrus, not a lot else really. Good for a half while admiring this big old Victorian pub.
