One of our range of dual hopped beers using Aurora hops from Europe for bittering, and Calypso hops from the USA for aroma. The result is a pale blonde ale with a fruity tropical aroma, with hints of pineapple, a bitter tart grapefruit taste and a good bitter finish.

Cask @ The Brink, Manchester. Clear golden and mildly hoppy, but slightly watery. Has small sugary notes in its taste, and is strong in its nose.

On cask at Monty's Bar. Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head. Nose - herbs and lemon. Taste - very dry lemon pith and grassiness. In fact, getting into green plant stalks. Palate - light bodied, very bitter. Overall - I find most Mallinsons beer to be too bitter fory palate and this is another example.

8th August 2018
GBBF Day 2. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth and semi dry palate, modest fine carbonation. Semi xry malts bring a mild sweetness. Tangy citrus, some bitterish citrc peel, grapefruit and orange. The back end produces a not unexpected harsh bitternes. Semi dry.finish. Not a great beer serverd in not great condition. Mallinsons seem stuck in a rut to me. They can do brighter, cleaner more modern hoppy beers but appear want to carry on regressing to clunky, dry - boil hop jobs
