Cask gravity at GBBF 2018. It pours darkest brown with a bubbly tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, charred, rather smokey, meaty and charred pine. The taste is dry, rich roasted malt, crazy bitterness which ramps up, ashy, charred, umami, smoked malt and peppery spice. Medium body and fine carbonation carbonation. Nice and flavourful. Nice stuff.

Draft at the source. Clear dark brown color tan head. Aroma of roasted coffee, light cocoa. Plenty of roast in the taste as well, burnt toast background. Very tasty.

Tap. Pours clear reddish mahogany, small tan creamy head, dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Quite pretty. Aroma is roasty, deep roasted malt, hint of smokiness, toffee, coffee. Flavor is light plus sweet, very light bitter, hugely roasty with no corresponding acidic or rubbery notes. Medium body. Quite well done.
