Cask at GBBF '18, day 3, 09/08/18. Black with a tan covering that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is mellow roast, toffee, dark chocolate flake, fruit cake, hint of orange. Taste comprises sticky fruit cake laced with Cointreau, chocolate sauce, dried fruits, brown sugar, molasses, mellow roasted bite. Full bodied, oily feel, rising alcohol in the close. Fun time cask impy that worked pretty well and masks the booze to a good effect.

GBBF Day 3. Cask. Almost clear dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, for such a heavyweight cask beer, very good carbonation. Fairly mellow dark malts, a little dark chocolate. Dominant orange brandy, more Grand Marnier than Cointreau, never spicy or hot. Ripe orangey finish. Nice. Could have more complexity but I like the unapologetically barrel boldness.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2018. Black beer orange brandy comes through. Too hot. Too big. Lots of orange flavour. Dark chocolate some dry malt flavour too big for my delicate palate.
