This beer draws inspiration from historic Barley Wines, for which it was matured for a year and a half in barrique and then for the same time in Scarliga keg or bottle, deliberately "contaminated" with brett. The beer has been "dismantled" piece by piece over time, the passage in wood as well as the slow work of the brett so as to transform it into something profoundly different, a very strong ale rich and complex, slightly acidic.

Bottle care of Kenny. It pours cloudy rich golden with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, tangy, cointreau, orange, tangerine, peach, sherbet and candied peel. The taste is tart, tangy, vinous, melon, apple, gooseberry, tannin, oak, warming alcohol, tangerine, vanilla and apricot with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation, foamy carbonation. Works well. Fun stuff.

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours orange hazy with almost absent foam. Aroma is sour and mandarin. Body is average with good carbonation. Taste is limited in sweetness, good bitterness and some marked sourness. Finish is rather long and with some sourness.
