Cask, 4.4%. Clear copper colour. Creamy white head. The flavour starts off a little bland, but becomes nicely rough in the finish. Good rough bitterness. Even a little gingery burn.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Clear copper pour with a foamy, white cap. Doughy malts on the nose with berries. Pretty sweet flavor, more dough, hints of burnt sugar and ripe fruits, a bit of earthy bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Slightly baked bread in the finish, toasty sugar and lasting grass. Not bad overall.

Cask, Crescent, Salford. Dark amber colour with a thin white head. Medium lace. Fragrant yet dusty aroma . Flavour was on the sweet side and had christmas cake, malt and some fruitiness. Some kind of weird chemical like tang in there which I couldn’t place. Interesting and downable.
