A hopped up roasty as hell export porter. Generous use of black and crystal malts provides a big coffee hit, followed by a grapefruit finish from the Cascade, Chinook and Columbus hops.

Keg @ Drink? Hebden Bridge. Dark brown with a thin head. It has sweetened roasted malts with a density to its taste. Washy roasted malts are potent.

Craft Islington bottle share. Thanks to Colin. Cloudy dark brown beer, good tan head. Tangy malts, some burned toffee. Light fruits and bitter floralness. Little spice and mild coffee on the finish. Decent.

Bottle at Craft Islington share, thanks to TBoizy. It pours hazy deep brown - black with a light tan head. The aroma is fresh, soft, sweet, tangy fruits, berry, earth and cocoa. The taste is soft, sweet, dying after a bit, tangy berry skin, earth, wood, leather, juniper and cocoa. Finish is drying and a bit ashy. Medium body and fine carbonation. Fair, but wouldn’t stand out in a crowd.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Cloin. Pours hazy brown with a big, foamy tan head. Woody aroma, some leathery berries, a little cocoa. Light sweet flavour with light berry tang, woody dryness, earth. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Ashy bitterness in the finish, more drying wood, minerals, earth. So so overall.
