Our head brewer Chris is moving on (it really has been a pretty big year) He studied the arts and acting for 8 years and was just really helping us out to begin with, wound up passing all of his exams and kind of fell into brewing really for the last 5 years! However the move prompted a reassessment and we are all incredibly impressed by his shunning of a comfortable life in favour of striking out and doing what he truly loves. A lesson for us all. His last brew is an DIPA with Amarillo, Citra, Sorachi Ace and notes of Piña Colada. In the bottle, this is tasting even juicier!

Bottle picked up from Beer Sourced Market, St Pancras, consumed on Eurostar in the company of Dad, Barry and Scott Thursday 7th March Pours mid gold with a white head, quite thick almost syrup mouthfeel. Quite a pokey beer, plenty of oomph. More malty than hoppy on the nose. Hoppy in the mouth but with a big malty base. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

33cl bottle. Bottled on 09.01.2018. Poured deep golden color with a thin white head. Canned pineapples, pina colada delivers in the aroma. Chewy fruity, pineapples and nice sorachi ace in flavor. Some alcohol warmth. Quite interesting, really musty, full bodied dipa. Long finish.

Bottle from Kihoskh, Copenhagen, shared at home with the Mrs - orange coloured pour with small white head. Tropical citrus fruity medley of grapefruit, pineapple, citrus peel, pretty sweet with a medium body, nicely balanced sorachi spiced hoppy bite into the close.

Bottle from Sourced Victoria. It pours hazy orange amber with a small, bubbly white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, loads of tropical fruits, fruit juice, mango, peach, passion fruit, some creaminess and a bubblegum edge. The taste is dry, bitter, oily, quite green, veg, coconut, fairly raw, tropical fruits, mango, some creaminess, fruit smoothie and a kick of alcohol with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Really nice juicy aroma. The sorachi does ruin it a but for me on the taste with a green veggy character. Good fun nonetheless.

Bottle at home, 10/02/18 (wee hours), from Sourced Market Vic. Very lightly hazed golden amber with a well presented off white covering. Nose is pineapple, citric tinged straw, toasted malts, mellow Sorachi whisper, orange pith, toasted breads. Taste comprises more prominent Sorachi than the nose suggested but balanced and kept in check, toasted malts, melon, pineapple, orange peel, grains, lemon drizzle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced hop bitterenss. Nice clean drinking DIPA ... mellow sorachi ... hold together well.
