We worked closely with The Veil to make some tweaks and edits and considered each ingredient carefully. This version has double the hops (Azacca, Vic Secret, and Mosaic) of the original (though equal the amount of our standard dry-hopping rate), double the quantity of oats and triple the variety (rolled, malted, and golden for lush body, some fermentables, and a distinct toasty granola quality), and a similar ratio of maple syrup (225L of golden Ontario goodness). After a twenty thread, novel-esque email exchange, some good ol’ team work, and several weeks doing the fermentation tango, we’ve got a luxurious, slightly sweet, super aromatic hop bomb with some Canadiana flair.

Pulpy, white head. Nose has nice tropical. Melon and pineapple. More brown sugar than maple. Flavor has Honeycomb and a little graham cracker and then tropicals over the top. Medium bodied sweet finish but food.

Murky blond colour. Nice fruity aroma, sweet oranges, mango. Good body, it's fairly sweet, strong orange character, including the juiciness and the bitter astringency; besides the prominent sweetness, it's difficult to tell if there is any maple flavour.

16oz (thx, Peter K.!) shared with Alex at Andrey's. Appearance: murky golden with a white head. Aroma: sweet and fruity like apple-ish notes. Taste: boozy, bitter and sweet, fruity, juicy. Overall: juicy, but quite harsh and boozy, funny thing.

A hazed milky yellow ipa with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, light mineral notes, pleasant light maple, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit, light maple, alcohol warmth, very nice and smooth. Can from Lupulus.

Can: Poured a hazy/cloudy milky pale-yellow color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of hoppy floral undertones with some faint notes of maple syrup also distinguishable. Taste is a great mix of hoppy floral undertones with some faint notes of maple syrup and residual sugar notes. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. I was a bit leery of the mix of maple syrup but quite enjoyable at the end of the day.
