Can: Poured a deep brown/black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of nice sweet chocolate notes with light praline notes with some floral coffee notes. Taste is also a good mix of floral coffee notes with some praline notes, residual sugar and floral coffee notes. Body is slightly below average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol notes. Solid pastry stout with good balance and good drinkability.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with caramel Pecan, alcohol warmth, light bourbon, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, light coffee and vanilla wafers, very nice. On tap at Festibiere de Laval 2022.

12oz (thx, Max C.!) shared with Andrey @ 🏡 Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: tons of maple syrup and coffee. Taste: along the same lines, very sweet. Overall: ok, too much of maple syrup as usual.

(355ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours black with a small pale brown head and minimal lace. Aroma of heavy maple syrup, brown sugar, candied pecans, toasty earthy notes but not really coffee per se. Flavour is very sweet and sugary, lots of maple butter and brown sugar, pecans, light roasted malts, some earthy brewed black coffee notes that build into the finish, maybe a little lactose but it’s hard to pick out from the maple. Quite light bodied for style, thin and watery though a bit oily with very soft carbonation. Nice flavours here if a bit sugar-sweet even for a maple praline stout, but the body is lacking which makes that sugar a little more acutely cloying. Solid.
