Passion Fruit IPA
5-A-Day was created by the brewing team to meet the demand for lower abv beers with big flavours. We wanted to drop a 'juice bomb' into this can so we tested every fruit available and settled on passion fruit to partner a complex malt base to give what we think is a mighty fine session IPA!

Can. Appearance - cloudy amber. Nice fluffy head. Nose - oranges and passion fruit of course. Taste - more orange than passionfruit actually. Light pith and zest at the end. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Elegant actually. Overall - good.

Can at home, thanks to James, 28/07/18. Hazed orange amber with a decent off white cap. Nose is passionfruit, sweet malts, peach, tangerine. Taste comprises much the same ... nectarine, sweet tropical fruits, melon, grass, splash of passionfruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with mellow hop bitterness OK.

Can from Dunnottar Wines. It pours hazy golden - amber with a thick foamy white head. The aroma is soft, mellow, sweet fruity vibes, tangy peach, doughy white bread and cereal. The taste is crisp, tart passion fruit upfront, peach, nectarine, doughy bread, toasty grain, soda water and a touch of custard creams. Light body and prickly carbonation. Perhaps a touch thin and sharp, but it is not bad.
