An American pale ale style beer with a deep golden colour and a smooth caramalt base. Bursting with intense citrus and gooseberry aromas with a robust bitterness and a thirst quenching dry finish.

Keg at Cheltenham Real Ale Festival 2017. Clear light amber colour with a thin head. Citrusy orange and grapefruit in the aroma and the taste, pithy bitterness in the finish. Light body, average carbonation.

Bottle from Morrisons. Pale amber in colour, with a slight and short-lived white head. Aroma of pineapple and tangerine, with some grassy hops. Flavour had crisp malts, more fruit and a peppery edge, before a lingering, bitter, finish. A bargain at £1 and enjoyable.

Bottle from Morrisons Folkestone drunk at home. Clear amber colour lasting white head. Big hoppy aroma a bit peachy and citrus. Bit over fizzy hard in the mouth yes decent. I liked the hops. Not top notch Oakham cos of hardness in the mouth. Good hoppy finish though.

Bottle. Morrisons. Clear, pale amber. Bubbly, frothy, lacing, just off white head. Nose has spicy, biscuity malts. Some citrus and pineapple hop. A little toffee. Taste is crisp bitter. Hint of malt sweetness. Light body. Prickly carbonation. Quite a juicy bitter finish. Nice golde.

Tap at the Dove Street Inn Spring Beer Frstival, Ipswich. Pours golden with a small lasting white head. Aroma of bitter citrus fruit, hop, malt, caramel. Light sweetness, heavy bitterness. Light to medium bodied, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Very bitter citrus finish. I like bitter but this was too bitter.

Keg at the Brewery Tap, Peterborough. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, lemon grapefruit citrus. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a light fruit, woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Served cool which masked some of the flavours I feel. Super hoppy though and too much bitterness for a beer of this style that left a rather unpleasant taste in your mouth.
