Thus, this libation that has been compared to the equivalent of a Kentucky Derby Pie became the German equivalent to the heretofore uninvented malt & whiskey soaked…errr, MaltNutloaf. So how do you say “MaltNutloaf” in German? The answer is you don’t. Mein Gott, no one should.

Schade!

Magnum @ MBC boat trip. Sweetish, slightly earthy and nutty with some molasses, liquorice and chocolate. Okay.

Shared with Višnja 666 and Pilot Goran. Oily black, small beige head. Strong roasty aromas, strong alcohol, liquorice, leather, cardboard, not very rich. Sweet, roasty, strong. Light body, very drinkable, silky, light finish. Very drinkable for the style.

Magnum shared by TJ. The man is big on these huge magnums!! Shows a mahogany / near brown color. Well, the flavor is quite nice. Coconut, almonds, very nutty. Mild chocolate. Nice mouthfeel with a fuller body for the style. Layers of flavor.

Poured from magnum light cola with a off white head. Aroma is roasted malt nuts chocolate and whiskey. Taste is soft light for a stout roasted malt chocolate nuts whiskey. Very nice.

Magnum shared by TJ on 12/8/18.
Clear dark mahogany with a dark beige head showing low retention.
Smells like a nice, porter that Grandma used to make back in the day. Roast, vanilla, bitter chocolate and light cherry-tinged alcohol. Light, fairly mild and clean.
in the mouth it's light, dry, chocolatey and full of licorice, cherry, vanilla and caramel. Light, balanced and roasty with cherry-chocolate and low adjunct character. Is this 10.1%??? No way. Impressively clean and well-done. Sometimes these garbage breweries still put out a decent beer.
Late check-in, someone was waving this around saying it was from 2007 cause the bottle says 07, but Google says no. Lots of nutty notes but also thin. Good hazelnut and chocolate though.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Looks good in the glass. Deep black, small head. Malty-roasty aroma. Starts malty, dry, roasty, hints of wood, chocolate, some coffee. Dry-bitter background. Finish well balanced, milder than exspected, light roasty. Not bad.
