750mL bottle drunk 8/17/17.
Beautiful, deep, violet-purple color seems to be fairly hazy. Cranberry-and-maize-tinged head atop recedes quickly to cover.
Very vibrant and piquant dark berry notes in the nose are interwoven nicely with the lactic acidity, as per usual for this series. Some cereal and musty funk enter the mix as well from wheat and yeast/bacteria. No alcohol or flaw, very high aroma strength.
This series, I don't believe, ever disappoints. I can write a review essentially substituting the different fruit descriptors but it remains wonderfully well-integrated with the rest of the beer and never shows too much lactic character while the wheat stands out nicely and adds both depth and texture. Always juicy, dry and malty with no alcohol or flaw. Obviously some fruits work better than others and while Boysenberry isn't my favorite in a berliner (I don't love naturally highly acidic/dry/astringent fruits in a berliner), the beer is executed wonderfully, as always.

Breakfast beer Zwanze day at Fools Gold start light and try my best to maintain. Ludicrous pulpy purple pour. Nose is lovely berry. Tastes of a fruit smoothie, berry skin and seeds, lemon, grassy, hint of tartness. Nice start tough to just sip but that's the plan.

Poured from bottle dated august 2017 thanks WillRunForBeer deep reddish purple with an off white head. Huge jammy aromas of berries and light yogurt. Taste is creamy juicy and jammy again but not a lot of beer.

750 ml shared by Willrunforbeer! Magenta colored liquid, fast dying head. Aroma is jammy, blackberries and boysenberries. Full and rich aroma. The flavor is almost as good as the aroma. It has a nice jammy element. Mouthfeel is smooth with bold boysenberry mixed with blackberries flavor. Again, not much beer here. Tons of juice. Like 70 % juice but it tastes great!

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours murky purple with a creamy, pink head. The aroma holds tangy blueberries, boysenberries: light sweet flavour with balanced acidity, lots of berry smoothie, a little blueberry yoghurt. Light bodied with average carbonation. Well balanced finish with more true, liquefied berry character, just enough acidity. Really fun stuff.
