The Grim R.I.P.A is a black rye IPA. A fusion of 2 extreme beer styles, Imperial Stout and Double IPA. The beer is as black as death and frightfully bitter.
Enjoy it with scary good chips or snacks in frightfully good company. Do you dare?

Bottle. Clear dark amber body under a nice, lacing tan head. Nice aroma of malt, caramel, American citric hops and hint of pine. Taste is sweet and malty with balancing bitterness, actually quite bitter but still in balance. Caramel, dark fruit, citric fruit, pine. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. A really nice dark IPA with superb balance between sweetness and bitterness. Highly enjoyable.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear black with a warm, orangey red hue and a small, lacing beige head. Hearbal hop aroma with the hops blending in with the roastiness. Rich, thick body. Roasty and again herbal with a bitternes I belive to come from combined roasted malts and hops. Really a big and powerful beer. 091019

Bottle, 9.0%. Good fruity hop aroma. Clear almost black colour. Small frothy light brown head. The flavour is fruity from the hops, and roasted from the malt. Late liquorice flavour. Good for the style.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with creamy tan head. Clear aroma of hops and yeast, with notes of malt and citrus and touches of roast. Bitter flavour of citrus and hops, with sweetish notes of malt, yeast and fruit and roasty touches. Roasty and hoppy aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. A nice one.
