Pigs Ear after party at Chez Smith. Shock Wood 2015. Hazy amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Caramel toffee, a light oxidised vibe here. Touch of wood. Ripe fruits and light toffee. Light semi dry finish. Nice ripe fruity beer.

Bottle at LKS - thanks to the Ken! It pours hazy red - brown with a small beige head. The aroma is earthy, woody, toasty, wood, brown bread, leather, oiliness and dried fruits. The taste is slick, oily, sugary, tangy, toasty brown sugars, earth, leather, tannin, dried fruits and figs. Finish is dry and vinous. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth - feel. A touch sweet perhaps. Not bad overall.

500ml bottle in a box bought a couple of years ago. Shared at a rating session with djoeye and Finn. A filmy layer to an unclear apricot coloured body. Fragile lacing. Dough, caramel and dried fruity aroma. Candy sweet flavours alongside moments of almond, caramel and dried fruits. Sweet and dry endnotes. Alright, a tad too sweet though (Tromsø 01.02.2016).
