Saison is life!

Together with Bamberg's Blech.brut, we brewed this Saison, perfect for kicking off autumn! We approached it according to the three classic pillars of a Belgian Saison... but with a twist:

RUSTIC: We upped the percentage of unmalted grains to 50% (raw barley and rye) for an extra rustic feel and to lower our ecological impact. Because not malting means less water and less energy consumption. This is definitely not conventional, but why not think about the future?

DRY: Nothing dehydrates a beer more than saison yeast. Saison is life!

BITTER: The hop variety Bramling Cross plays a big part in this beer. We always wanted to use this rare British variety in our saisons. And it's finally here!

Pours hazed blonde. Medium large white head. Scent is grainy, mild saison phenols .
Taste is sharp, fairly bitter, tart backbone (mild). All dry, phenolic but not over the top. very fresh. Medium carbo, sharp body. Easy to drink, but also easy to forget. A decent saison all the way but nothing to make it stand out, accept perhaps its good balance.
