Foster Hill (1904 - 1919) was Edward's brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In its previous incarnation, we had honored him in a different manner, one that was limited by its infrequency; we hope to reinvigorate his memory by adapting his namesake beer to an American IPA—brewed with Citra® and Simcoe® hops.

On tap at Proletariat, pours a cloudy bright orange with a small white head. Aroma is vibrant, with tropical stone fruits, some citrusy hops, and light pine. Flavour is nicely bitter, with bright stone fruits, some melon, bitter pine, and some citrus. Bright and citrusy, with a moderately bitter finish. Very good.

Hazy golden-orange colour with a frothy-creamy, warm off-white head, good retention and loads of lacing. Big citrusy nose at first from the Citra, with the Simcoe giving a touch of tropical fruits, berries and floral hints. Juicy mouthfeel that is not overly thick, and the finish - not as drying as some of the style. Citrus zestiness in the flavours with a tad tropical fruit and a blending herbal note. One of their juicier NEIPA that is quite quenchable.

Interesting 16oz can. Starchy yellow with some creamy white head. Nose has straw and wheat and grist, herbs and perfume, simcoe rings more than citra. Flavor has some citrus peel and straw and wheat and grist. Catty? Maybe. Not dank though. Dry and medium bodied. Good... not great.
