Bottle shared at Chris and Ruth Pre-GBBF 2017 tasting - London. Cheers! Pours cloudy yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds apple, lemon, light musty notes. Lightly sweet, dry, with some grass, hay, apple skins. Light to medium bodied with massaging carbonation. Modestly drying in the finish, musty, more apple skins, mellow lemony tang. Very nice.

My first bottle of Mills, sampled back in July 2017. Bottle sourced online from the sadly now defunct Beer Revolution in Hay-on-Wye. Pours lightly hazed gold with a white head. Aroma: cider apples, funk, floral. Taste: light to moderate acidity, dry, light sharp, spritzy cider apples, lemon, funk. Medium bodied with ample carbonation. Different but lovely

Bottle, by way of a UK trade. Cheers Tom. Hazed, pale gold. Thin, dense, lasting, white head. Nose has cider apple lolly. Toffee apple. Light, cheesy funk. Sweet, fat lemon. Wet wood. It’s got that walk in the woods after a downpour thing going on. Then there’s a touch of vanilla. Wow. Taste is well balanced, sweet and dry, with a funky, lemony, tart apple sourness. Light and bright mouthfeel. Massaging carbonation. Dry and light tart finish. Like 3F Oude Geuze with a cider lolly mashed up in it.

75cl bottle from Tom Oliver. Pours a generally clear gold with the lightest mist, minimal remaining head. Aroma has some pleasantly light wild floral funk. Taste presents a fruity floral wild yeast character, not overly sour or sharp, but enough wild elements to keep it bristlingly tart. Some apple juice echoes. Very good.
