2024 vintage sampled on tap at the brewery. Leggy, opaque black with some beige head. Nose has molasses and cocoa powder and some cinnamon, a little Whopper candy. Flavor has some barrel and caramel, but cocoa and toast and molasses. Thick, roasty, boozy finish. Solid. Well aged too. Some tea leaves and tannins arrived late

Roasted malty with lots of ashy charred malts, some coffee roast, cocoa, soy, full bodied, quite a bitter bite into the roasted malty coffee laden finish.

På fat hos Peders med P.N. Doftar bourbon o så långt perfekt. Sedan klunk o då dundrar torrt kaffe o förstör alla tidigare upplevelser. Nop inget för mug!

500mL bottled 4/8/24, #355/720, drunk 11/24/24. Clear, dark. Small, tan head. Smells kind of like glue? Kind of like paint? Not as bad as either of those but not beery. It's sweet, of course, bitter, roasty, hoppy and fruity. Weird mish mash of things, none of it homogeneous or mellow. Way too young. Need to wait about 4-5 years on their non-BA beers...

Bottle shared with membership group. Opaque dark brown with nice viscosity, no head or lacing. Aroma is sweet/roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, something slightly vegetal. Taste is cold brew coffee, earthy malt, mild chocolate. Smooth, thick texture, soft carbonation, mild alcohol warmth, finish as taste with lingering bitterness. All elements are here but fairly weak.

500 ml bottle from the barrel membership. Number 355/720. Aroma is chocolate and mild coffee. Flavor follows with a strong amount of bitterness in the finish. Barrel treatment barely shows. I really haven’t liked the Dark Matter base stout at all in the last 3 years. Just my opinion.
