Vous etes le coq de rien. Suffice it to stay, some beers are meant to be the cocks of walks, and some are not. This Session Saison safely falls into step with those beers striding confidently along that most fateful walk. Brewed with a dash of spelt and a healthy late hop addition this fine, frothy friend was fermented warm to perfect attenuation and carbed up high for a flavor that is at once bright, rich, juicy and ultra crisp. Strut your stuff, man.

On tap at BrewDog Clerkenwell. Clear amber gold colour lasting white head. Very estery for a saison. It’s got lemon banana too fizzy. More like a kristal weizen than a saison. Ok though. Decejt esters and ripe banana flavour.

Tap @ BrewDog Clerkenwell, small sample. Slight hazy golden color, short frothy head. Aroma is spicy, slight peppery, bit citrus, bit grainy wheat. Soft bitterness, spicy, bit dry. Probably better from bottle. Bit boring now.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big lemon, orange zest, pear, apple, white grape, apricot, melon, peppercorn, light banana, wheat, spelt, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/earthy hops, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange zest, pear, apple, white grape, apricot, melon, peppercorn, light banana, wheat, spelt, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate yeast spiciness and herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange, pear, apple, white grape, apricot, melon, peppercorn, wheat, spelt, biscuit, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/earthy hops, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitter/spiciness; lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly creamy/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol as expected of 5.8%. Overall this is a very nice saison. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/earthy hops, and bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle shared with rlgk, fonefan, ChrisO and beerhunter111. Clear golden color, small white head. Aroma is sweet and floral. Tastes about the same: lightly malts, wheat, yeast, floral sweetness again but a more bitter than sweet finish. Decent body, lightly fizzy carbonation. Hmm ok beer.
