330ml can. Pours hazy amber dark brown with a beige top. Aroma: wheat, dark malts, yeast, cloves. Taste: light sweet, wheat, dark malts, caramel, spices. Medium body, soft carb, light dry spicy finish. Would agree with someone else's comment that this is more brown ale than dunkelweizen

(can, 33cl) Dark brown colour with a beige medium-sized frothy head. Moderately roasted dark malty and wheaty aroma with notes of dark chocolate, burnt caramel, bread crusts and subtle fruity accents. Mildly sweet and roasty bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dark and roasted malty taste with hints of chocolale, burnt notes and hints of smoke; mildly fruity and phenolic spicy towards the finish. Quite complex dark wheat. 27.IV.18

Can: Deep ruby-amber coloured, big and stable loose tanned head; moderate toasty-m alty nose with certain fruity traces, wheat and yeast underneath; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, almost medium bodied and really soft; lingering fruity-toasty finish. Great, such good examples of a Dunkelweizen are hard to get, even in Germania....

Pours brown from the can. The head is tan, tall, and sudsy. Aroma is a mild mix of soft roasted grains with hints of yeast and clove. Taste has a mild, light bitterness with hints of clove that grow stronger at the finish. Body stays fairly light, carbonation is moderate. Overall, inoffensive and somewhat pleasant but kind of empty.

330ml can. Opaque, darkest brown colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, slightly lacing, beige head. Dusty, spicy yeasty aroma, dark, wheat malty background, a fruity hoppy touch of orange, some straw, milk chocolate and cocoa. Taste is grassy and minimally fruity hoppy, wheaty and dark malty, minimally chocolately, roasty, a touch of liquorice.

On tap @Buskers Pub (Rome). Ambrata carica, schiuma avorio media. Al naso malto, caramello, toffee, note fruttate, leggera tostatura. In bocca è equilibratissima, dolce all'attacco con finale appena tostato e amaro a bilanciare. Corpo medio, carbonazione medio-leggera. Buona davvero!
