Keg at the Blue Moon, Cambridge. Light chestnut brown, clear. Very thin off-white head and lots of lacing. Malty smell, slightly salty and vinegary, not 100% sure this is in best Nick. Tastes ok though, even quite good: sweet and slightly spicy with hints of malt loaf and exotic fruit in the medium to long finish. Nicely carbonated without going over the top. Flawed, and not my favourite style, but enjoyable enough for sure.

Tap at Evening Star, Brighton. Dark amber color, small steady white head. Sweetish berries and caramalt in the nose. Medium-bodied. Berries, caramel, malts. Quite strawberry sweet märzen.

On tap at The Norwich Tap Norwich. Clear golden brown colour lasting cream head. Sweet and malty like a Marzen. Pretty authentic. Not my favourite style. Sweet and malty ok though.

Keg at Evening Star, Brighton. It pours clear deep amber with a medium white head. The aroma is cakey action, bread, toffee, dried fruits, cereal, toasted nut and earth. The taste is bitter, malt - driven, earthy, brown bread, boozy hit, leather, toasted nut, muffin, light spice, toffee and wood with a bready finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A rather pleasant malty beer.
