This Brown Ale is made using the traditional recipe with an Italian twist. Made using English malts, we have enhanced the flavour with aromatic hops and we use chocolate malt to give a smokey and cocoa note.
When poured, the beer is hazy and deep brown with a foaming off-white head, while a sweet aroma of complex malts is omnipotent. Sweet notes of slightly caramel and bread are joined by some orange juice and rind, resinous pine and a little grapefruit. A big malt flavour continues on the palate, with further notes of caramel and yeast alongside some cereal, violet and a little spice which is met with a light hop bitterness at the end before transforming into a very pleasant malty finish

Bottle shared at Chris and Ruth Pre-GBBF 2017 tasting - London. Cheers! Pours cloudy orange with a creamy, off-white head. The nose holds grainy bread, jammy citrus, melon. Medium sweet flavour with some jam, caramel, bread. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, notes of toasted crackers, marmalade. So so.

The great pre GBBF bottleshare at ChrisO’s. Hazy deep gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Thin grainy malts. Little spice. Modest citrus. Light dry finish. Weak and instantly forgettable.

Bottle shared at Chris & Ruth’s pre-GBBF Shindig 2017 - Part 1. A hazy orange golden beer with a mid-sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of reddish malt, herbs and yeast. Taste of herbs, yeast, rotten fruits, strange!
