Bottle. Nose is lovely malt, hazelnut, hint of toffee and red berry. Taste is malty, toffee, leading to caramel, dough, and a dry lightly bitter finish. Smells better than it tastes.

Thin tan head left a spotty cover on an unclear reddish brown coloured body. Toffee & caramel aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a sharp sticky back. Toffee, nutty, caramel & sweet berry tastes with a lightly hopped bitter finish. Nice one.

Bottle at home – was present from my nephew. A nose of mustiness and treacle is what greets you. Pours a clear reddish orange with reasonable off-white head, that is very transient (gone within 30 seconds). An initial sharp orange taste followed almost immediately by some creamy caramel with hazelnuts. A long burnt hoppy finish. Pleasant enough I suppose.

25/7/2018. Bottle from CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours deep amber with an average sized lasting off-white head. Nice looking beer. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, hops, hint of nut and chocolate, fruit and light herb. Medium plus sweetness, moderate bitterness, slightest hint of berry sour. Medium body, oily texture, above average carbonation. Pretty decent brew.
