Bottle from Beer52. It pours opaque jet black with a medium foamy tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, vanilla ice cream, icing sugar, marshmallow, cacao, cookie doughy and coffee cake. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, hard roasted malt, vanilla, toasted marshmallow, cacao, cookie dough, peppery spice, liquorice and burnt toast with a roasted finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Vanilla adds a nice element to it, without being that sweet.

33cl bottle from a Beer52 box. A glossy black pour with a short lived coffee coloured head, leaving a very flat look; rich coffee aroma with a hint of aroma; sweet coffee taste with some burnt toffee; and a light spicy bitterness that brings some warmth. A pleasant stout.

Bottle. Nose is roast, hint of coffee, slight sour, hint of fruit. Taste is coffee, leather, hint of cream, blackcurrant, faint vanilla which I had to hunt for, earth, ash. Thin. It's not bad, but lacks depth for the abv and the vanilla is hardly there.
