A twist on the classic style, we took a Belgian Blonde with its lightly spicy yeast & noble hop character, and seasoned it lightly with Sorachi Ace, originally a Japanese hop & known for its coconut/lemon/dill notes. The two meld very nicely into a... well, this!

Cask, gravity at Merton Beer Festival, Oxon, Friday 24th February Pours light gold and generally with a good clarity, ok fruitiness but banana and bubble gum detected, a little spice, yeasty, it’s fine but perhaps a bit unusual, Sorachi works better in darker beers methinks. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Cellar clean out session. Light haze, gold beer. tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Thin malts. Bubblegum esters, yeast. Light Sorachi lemon. Dry yeasty bitter finish. Many an average beer has been elevated by Sorachi magic, unfortunately not even that splendid hop can get this one over the line.

Tap at the Birmingham Beer Bash, 2016. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is sweet floral hop. The flavour is light acid citrus mineral, with a light watery grainy mineral light fruit palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
