A light amber coloured beer with a flowery and fruity aroma. Full of body and smooth to drink, and certainly the Stokeley honey adds its bit, with a nice hoppy after taste. A pleasing counter balance between bitter and sweet.

Bottle from The Shops At Dartington. Appearance - golden amber with a big fluffy head. Nose - caramel or maybe even butterscotch. Lightly grassy. Taste - more caramel, honey and some orange. Underlying bready note. Palate - light to medium bodied. Rich but slightly dry middle and finish. Overall - didnt' like the smell, but the palate wasn't bad.

Bottle from the brewer's own stall at the Dartmouth Food Festival. Deep gold with a white head and a light fizz. Light lemon. The honey gives smoothness and a little sweetness but doesn't really add a honey flavour. Overall it tasted fresh and slightly sweet. Pleasant but not particularly memorable.

Colchester Beer Festival. Cask. Clear gold beer, small white head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Thin malts, mildly sweet. Trace of honey sweetness. Good orange hops and juicy citrus. Light finish. Nice beer, a golden much more than a bitter.

Bottle shared at the Chris & Ruth pre GBBF shindig tasting 2016 - London. Cheers! Pours clear gold with a frothy, white head. The nose has light zesty citrus, lemon, dried pale bread. Lightly sweet, a little zezty, with nips of hay and lemon rind giving a touch of bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Moderately dry in the finish, with pale grains, biscuits, more zesty lemon. Nice one.

Cask ale, half pint at Fortescue Hotel. Solid lacing from a low beige head. Amber-orange coloured body, near clear. Proper honeyed malts on the nose. Malt-accented flavours with hints of caramel and honey. More sweet than bitter to the ending. Average for the style, more or less (Shared with Finn, Plymouth 26.09.2016).
