330ml can. Rich lacing from a remaining fawn-coloured head, black-brownish body. Quite promising on the nose with caramel malts and a scent of chocolate, mid-dry. Fine blended taste with earthy choco-caramel malts, joined by a note of herbal hops and biscuit. Lightly roasted, bittersweet ending. Medium bodied. Like it. (Tromsø, 24.01.2026).

Can@ home. Almost clear brown body under a big, foamy tan head. Nice aroma of malt, chocolate, toffee and a touch of red berries. Taste is slightly sour with malt, light caramel, hint of chocolate and moderate bitterness. Not what I consider an American brown ale.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A dark brown pour with a fast fading beige head; piney aroma; rather thin in the mouth with a rich malty taste ; then an earthy but watery finish.

330ml can via Beer52. Poured into my lovely Gordon's thistle shaped glass at home on 11th September 2025. Clean dark brown body, full foaming crust of lightly tanned bubbles on top. A little harsh in the mouth, with an earthy bitterness, gets softer as it warms, woody/twiggy leanings, it's different, but not really to my liking.

Clear dark brown pour with a stable white head. Aromas of roasted malt, milk/cream, vanilla. Taste is Oasted malt, toffee/caramel, cream/milk, some herbs for a decent bitter finish. Nice.
