Bottle 22fl.oz. @ [ chriso & Boudicca's pre- GBBF Shindig 2016 ] - Chris and Ruth's House, London. [ As Pretty Things Fumapapa ].Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, creamy - frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, meat, sweet smoked, smoke. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, smoke, smoked meat, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160806] 7-4-8-3-16

Shared 22oz. bottle. Pours dark brown with a lasting beige head. Aroma of roasted malt with mild smokiness. Taste is roasted malt, smoke, chocolate, toffee, alcohol. Nice.

Bottle shared at the chriso and Ruth pre GBBF Shindig 2016 - London. Day 1. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose holds raisins, chocolate, toasted toffee and mellow smoked malts. Medium sweet flavour with notes of burnt sugars, scorched earth, brownies, toffee, charred caramel. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet on the finish, with further cocoa, mild smoke. Sweet and tasty.

The great ChrisO pre GBBF gathering. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Rich dark malts, good dark chocolate. A sourish tang to the malt develops. Mild spice. Smoke? Pretty mellow. Rich and tasty but could do without the strong tang.

Bottle @ Chriso pre-GBBF Shindig 2016. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty smoky chocolate and licorice aroma. Roasted malty licorice, chocolate and smoky flavor. Has a roasted malty licorice chocolate smoky finish.

Bottle at level 42 (thanks to L-Dogg). It pours darkest brown / black with a small, bubbly beige head. The aroma is rich roasted malts upfront, rich smoke, umami, musty, honey glazed ham and some cocoa. The taste is rich roasted malt, sweet cocoa, liquorice, smoked maltage, some meatiness, honey glazed ham and good hit of alcohol heat through the finish. Full body, soft carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. I am not sure on the balance with the heat and smoked character. Interesting, but perhaps only in small amounts.

Bottle split at Level 42, thanks to LKS, 16/08/16. Black with a decent tan cap. Nose is chocolate melt, booze tunes, spice, fruit cake, charr. Taste comprises liqourice, spice, chocolate xauce, toffee fudge, fruit cake, spice. Full body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough impy.

Bottle shared at Chris and Ruth’s pre GBBF shindig; dark black pour with a thin tan head, aroma has sweet malts and chocolate, taste has some smoke, dark fruits, chocolate, hint of coffee, some dark roast, decent oil slick mouthfeel.

Bottle at Chriso pre gbbf shindig 2016. Black beer lasting tan head. liqurice tan head. Too hot. Some hot liquorice and chocolate.
