This IPA poured a medium amber colour with a off white, rocky head. A little lacing. Scents include bread, nail polish and cream. First swig was smooth and a little watery but had really nice flavours of perfume, malt and flowers. Finish was minimally hoppy with those nice malty flavours lingering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Consumed Dec 18, 2011. Obviously reviewed from notes.
In a pint glass, she pours a light copper color and leaves the same colored body with a head lasting less than a second. Lacing was very minimal.
The smell has malts, caramel and hops.
The taste is sweet yet bitter in a good English IPA sort of way.
On the palate, she sits about a light to medium with a sweet bitter aftertaste and finish.
Overall, this is a good beer for its style and good for me.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a dark, clear copper with about a finger of somewhat thick head. Aroma of mostly citrus hops with a little butterscotch. Taste is light bitter. Dank herbal and citrus hops. A little butterscotch. Medium bodied with a somewhat sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. I would drink it again.

Crisp copper coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of metallic notes, malt, caramel, toffee, apples, pears and a touch of very light english hops. Medium-bodied; Assertive malt and a touch of caramel and earth noticeable up front with not much hop bitterness, no floral notes and no typical American hop flavours - no citrus, no resin and no pine. Aftertaste shows some metal and malt, a touch of earth and some light caramel and fruits - no hop bitterness at all to be found. Overall, not such a great IPA, but not a horrible beer. No real off flavours, just not enough hop notes, no depth and not good flavour profiles. I sampled this twelve ounce ’stubby’ bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 18-November-2011 for US$2.65 sampled at home in Washington on 21-May-2012.

Bottle from Paula. Pours light amber with a creamy/foamy near-white head. Aromas of mild roast caramel and citrus/resin. Near med body. Flavor is resin and roast caramel with a suggestion of citrus. Finishes nicely bitter. Decent; not exciting.

this is maybe the best example of an east coast ipa, or maybe northeast ipa. hoppy like most ipa’s, but not a complete hop bomb like west coast ipa’s, this is more balanced, but not even close to the maltier english ipa’s, perfectly in between. so easy to drink, a trally good beer from a brewer that doesnt get enough recognition.
