Refrigerated 0.5 L brown bottle, figured to be a 2016 bottle poured into a tulip. Opaque dark brown with beige head. Aroma is brandy, medium body, medium/lower carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is leather, brandy, dark fruit, and wood. Quite complex and alcohol is nicely covered. This ages beautifully.

Bottle thanks to Eric. Pours a mostly clear ruddy brown color with a small white head. A big boozy fruity nose. Rich dusty earthy notes, heat, sweet vinous barrel, sugary sweet base. Pretty good. Enjoyable.

Color is deep dark amber brown pour that opened with barely a hiss. A aggressive pour resulted in light head. The aroma is not bold, weak oak, cherry tannins, caramel candy hints. Some very mild yeast and rock candy. Still shows some booze. Pretty decent but I guess it needed some more age. The booze really stands out

Bottle shared in NH - big thanks to Airforcehops. Pours clear copper with a creamy topping. The nose has lots of jammy berries, caramel, a little vanilla. Medium to heavy sweet flavour with a bit of booze, creamy toffee, golden raisins, oily vanilla. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, with more ripe dried berries, toffee, some booze, cake. Fun stuff.

Lovely booze-bomb of a Quad, hot and heavy and oozing with Belgian soul and Brandy swagger. Pours a gorgeous hazed red-brown, thick and foreboding, offering up a solid beige head that leaves ample lace as it dies away. Nose is brandy, brandy, brandy, caramel sweet with a slight fruity tang, maybe a hint of oak on the backside. But man, what a delicious Quad, sweet as a hug from a drunken monk, starting out with a blast of candi sugar and dried apricots, then developing a heavy caramel middle with a nutty undertone, biding its time until the brandy nails you in the shins with a oak bat. Finishes warm and boozy, a noticeable oak-hop bitterness offsetting the massive liquor back end. Very nice, very potent, very cheekily named. I don’t feel drinking the whole bottle is behaving responsibly. Guess I’m in trouble.

Draft/Fest. A- Candied plums, brown sugar, oak, raisins, vanilla, booze. A- Golden amber color, hazy liquid, tan head. T- Booze, butterscotch, oak, candied dark fruits. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- A lot of wonderful notes on the aroma and palate that I couldn’t even detect because they were blended so well. A really complex brew that is a touch boozy but I imagine would be fantastic after a bit of age. Good stuff.

22 oz. bottle, sent from cstromberg (thanks a lot, Chris), pours a deep dark mahogany with a medium beige head. Aroma of licorice, oak barrels, cognac, dark fruits, and some Belgian candied sugar. Flavour is quite complex, with the quad notes coming through fairly prominently, along with notes of cognac, oak, and vanilla from the barrels, as well as notes licorice, mint and prominent alcohol that isn't extremely well-hidden. Alcoholic, but not too distastefully. Finishes on notes of alcohol, mint, and cognac. Solid stuff.
