Bottle at Café Derat, Utrecht. Aroma is fruity and a bit herbal NZ hops and biscuity, slightly sugary pale malt with a touch of caramel toffee. Flavour is above moderate sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium. Hoppy but also malty IPA, restrained fruitiness. Mild but enjoyable enough.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Offie & Toffee. Pours clear, deep gold with a frothy, white head. The nose holds ripe, jammy citrus, some piney hops, bready pale malts. Light to medium sweet flavour with more ripe and chewy citrus character, some gummy white grapes, a bit of caramel, oily pine, crusty pale bread, restrained bitterness. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with further suggestions of faded hops, gooey pine, chewy citrus, crackers. The beer is still drinkable and somewhat interesting, but I think Father Time has certainly visited this beer.

Bottle at home, split with and thanks to James, 05/05/17. Golden blonde with a decent off white head. Nose is old shcool ... caramel, straw, grains, light hop dusting, vague citric notes. Taste comprises caramel malt, orange peel, melon, straw, light bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with very moderate hop bitterness. So so affair, hop expression is muted and it never really pulls out of 2nd gear.

330ml bottle from the Golden Vineyard, Greenwich. Deep amber colour, white foam head leaving alittle lacing and tropical fruit hoppy aroma. Taste is malty caramel, toffee with some orange citrus hop bitterness. Fairly thin mouthfeel, light bodied, soft carbonation, dry dusty bitter finish. Quite OK.

Bottle from Bridgend Service Station. Clear amber body with a medium off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of copper, dry leaves, caramel and blood orange. Flavour of gooseberry, minerals and rust. Thin to medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Light fizz. Disappointing - not the flavours I was hoping for from a New Zealand IPA.

2nd July 2016
Very hazy dark amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is airy and has a minerally crisp bite. Tangy thin malts, touches of cream and caramel. Ripe fruits. A little hop spice and floral bitterness. Light finish. Wow! What a disappointment. Where are the big juicy NZ hops? Why is this beer so dark? Lame.
