A dense tan head over a filtered brown body. The now is medium to low intensity featuring roasted malt, coffee and a touch of fruit. The taste profile features solid roasted malt, a touch of berries, chocolate and some buttery caramel. Very drinkable. In the lager tradition, the taste does not have tonnes of richness and depth, but is well blended and well crafted.

Nice dark pour, small beige head. Good amounts of roast, slight caramel, some brown sugar too. The malts are a little cracker like, with some nice cereal notes. The finish is clean, and roast with a nice malty, coffee, bitter cocoa sweetness. This is what their porter should be like.

Brownish-black color and a nice white head. Roastes malts and decent hoppy nose. Caramel and coffe start, more like a Porter. Nice roasted malt and hops.

Can: Poured a black color lager with a medium size head with OK retention. Aroma of roasted malt notes with light dry bitter notes. Taste is a mix of dry roasted malt notes with light subtle chocolate notes with a dry finish. Body is light with good carbonation. Not bad with good drinkability level.

This black lager poured a very dark Amber colour with a nice, smooth, tan head. Scents include light cocoa, sherry, caramel and brown sugar. First swig was smooth and mildly toasty with nice caramel and a little chocolate flavours. Finish is slightly bitter with that awesome toasty flavour I've always loved. Very good!

Sampled at the 2014 Winterbrewed Craft Beer Festival on Valentinesβ Day. Poured a cola-looking colour with a beige head. Banana nose wheat aromas like a Hefeweizen with its yeast. Wet mouthfeel with some decent body. The flavours are banana wheat with a little sourness and a quick finish. A pretty good lager that seems like a dark Hefeweizen with a watery feel to have it go down easily.

More like a schwarzbier than a black lager, but decently done for style. Pours black with good head and lacing. Light bitter finish with some roast. Sampled at the Winterbrewed festival in Ottawa.
