Pigs Ear. Cask. Almost opaque dark brown beer, a few pale tan bubbles. Light and semi dry palate, good fine carbonation. Nice condition. Thin but tangy dark malts, touch of dark chocolate. Good blackberry liqueur vibe, really fruity and slightly sour. Nice fruity ginger on the light crisp finish. Works very well, pretty moreish.

Cask at Pig’s Ear 2017. It pours opaque black with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, tangy, jammy, brambles, Victoria sponge cake, fruit compote, ginger and fruity candy. The taste is dry, tart berry throughout, juicy, tangy bramble, vinous, earth, toasted malt, spice, berry pip, wood and a touch of alcohol. Medium body and fine carbonation. Good vinous berry character to it. Thankfully the ginger isn't overdone. Nice stuff.
