Bottle from iowaherkeye, Thanks Joey! Nose of grainy malts and hazelnuts. transparent amber with a tiny beige head; flavor is fairly sweet caramel and hazelnuts, with some fruity banana esters in the background, kinda like a nutty hefeweisen! Interesting!

Golden lager with white head. Fruity rye malt in aroma. Sweet biscuity malt with light hops and medium bodied. Not bad but dissapointing. Did go well with the pork sandwich, bringing out the biscuitty malt. At Bergoff’s Café Nov. 10 2005.

Pour is a nice dull brown with a big white head. Aroma is a nice mix of nuts and butter. To bad the flavor is also very buttery and sweet. Hazelnut is in there but not in a good way. Like drinking land-o-lakes. The more I drink this the less i like it. I’m glad I only bought a single.

Draft, at the Berghoff. Normally, I don't like nut flavors in anything; coffee, even brownies. Don't know why. But this beer is quite all right. A nice coppery color under a thin head. A hazelnut/marzipan smell is definietly present. The nutty taste acts to complement a mild hop profile and a nice toasty caramel malt taste that leaves a sticky moustache behind. A note of cherry(?) toward the end. I'd think this should go in the listing as a fruit or spice beer. Either way, the Berghoff in the Loop sells drafts for $3.25, a great bargain for any big city's overpriced downtown.
