This Dunkel poured a hazy deep reddish brown color with a creamy, light tan head. Nice lacing. Scents include cloves, ripe fruit, minimum vinegar and a little caramel. First swig was a little thin. Flavours of ripe plums, cloves, and sweet malt. Finish is cloves and raisens.

Second brew from their Taster Pack of 6 bottles of 500ml. Pours a hazy amber colour with a light beige head, decent stay and minimal thin creamy topping. A soft, slightly rich nose of caramel malts, light dark fruits and hints of coffee. The taste is mild as well with coffee start, all well-balanced with the caramel, fruitiness and hops in the finish. A tad of bubblegum comes in the aftertaste from the wheat. Not a bad Dunkelweizen.

(bottle) hazy brown colour with a small off white head; faint aroma of banana, spice; balanced, rather weak flavour, no finish; far below better examples of the style

Bottle from the Beer Store. Murky dark amber with a one finger khaki head that fades quickly to a sheet. Patchy lace. Nose is spice, dark fruit, bread, some light banana and grains. Flavour has more banana up front with light cloves lingering in the background. Lightly sweet fruit and caramel malts with some tartness in the finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. 8-/3+/7/3/15
