The Queen of Diamonds is an ostentatious continuously hopped IPA. Hops are added continuously throughout the boil, developing a complex citrus flavour and fresh bitter edge.

Bottle at Tapping the Admiral, Camden Town. Bright gold, low visible carbonation. No head. Light pineapple and white grape aroma. Taste is more engaging with a fruity hoppy bitterness. Long bitter finish. Nicely carbonated. Decent.

Keg at Cronx Bar. It pours hazy orange with a small bubbly white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, orange, tangerine, apricot, piss and muffin. The taste is pretty bitter upfront, pithy orange, kumquat, tangerine rind, pissy hops, spice, straw, mild astringency with a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Could be done with a bit more carbonation perhaps, but overall it’s not bad.

Not my cup of tea as the wheat imparted an odd flavour and texture to the beer that I really didn’t enjoy.

Aroma is moderately hopped, nice level of citrus, touch of caramel. Light sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, slightly above average carbonation. Finish is bitter, with touch of citrus/sour.

More of an APA than IPA but really sold. A much-improved brewery. Was pleasantly surprised .
